DAVID LECK, MCIM

David Leck has over 25 years’ experience as a PR practitioner, marketer, copywriter, journalist and editor. 

In-house, he has worked for the BBC and BBC World Service as part of their corporate press teams, and for one of the UK’s leading regional theatres as head of marketing and public relations.

Over more than two decades, he has worked extensively across the entire communications mix, from crisis and issues management, devising and delivering consumer and business-to-business campaigns, advertising and direct mail through to website launches, managing major events and community relations. 

Since setting up David Leck Associates in 1994 he has managed pro-active and re-active media relations in sectors ranging from travel, leisure, fitness and broadcasting to property, health, charities, the law and training. He also provides advice and counsel at management and board levels.

As a writer and editor, David has written for and project managed everything from major annual reports, websites and newsletters to “ghosting” articles for clients for placing in trade, technical and specialist press.

David has put his passion for travel to use by writing features for national papers and magazines and is also an editor/updater of guidebooks for the AA/Fodor imprint, having most recently worked on their Bangkok and New York titles.

David Leck is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Away from the world of work, David has travelled extensively around the world and he is also a fully-qualified level two fitness/gym instructor and a Boxercise®  instructor.

Steve is David Leck Associates’ “in-house” photographer.  As flexible as he is creative, Steve can make the results of an ordinary press call exciting and the visual contribution to a major publication exceptional.

Vicky is a gifted writer and editor with more than 30 years' experience gained on regional newspapers; as a contributor to national consumer magazines and a national news agency, and in corporate communications.

Lansons Live – Media Training and Broadcast PR
Each year, Lansons Live trains over one hundred executives, managers and spokespeople. It is part of one of the top PR agencies in the country and is the only independent consultancy to have a broadcast television and radio studio.  The agency has worked with some of the largest companies in the UK and has created hundreds of hours of video content for clients.
