EMIRATES REJOINS PACIFIC ASIA TRAVEL ASSOCIATION UK CHAPTER

Emirates has rejoined the Pacific Asia Travel Association’s UK Chapter following an 18-month absence.

Commenting on the news, Ian Hawkes, executive director of PATA (UK Chapter), said:

"I am delighted that Emirates has decided to come back and renew its membership. It makes good commercial sense that such a premier carrier to, from and within the PATA region seeks to gain further support from the more than 1500 UK agents and operators we have as members".

With a fleet of 137 aircraft, Emirates currently flies to almost 100 destinations in 60 countries around the world and boasts a constantly expanding network. Across the PATA region, the airline serves key destination hubs including Delhi, Colombo, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Osaka, Sydney and Auckland.

David Parker, Emirates’ business development and partnership manager, said:

"It is a great match. PATA UK has a strong network of Asia Pacific specialist sellers and. with our growing network into Asia and Australasia from six British departure points, we look forward to working closer than ever with the UK travel trade.”
