GARDENING TIPS, REPTILES AND INSECTS – LEARN MORE AS RUXLEY MANOR HOSTS FREE SESSIONS
If you want to know how to make those gardening chores a little easier or introduce youngsters to a fascinating collection of animals and reptiles, then it is worth paying a visit to Ruxley Manor Garden Centre in the coming weeks.
The Sidcup business, one of the largest of its kind in Kent, has a year-round programme of events and talks – most of which are free and all of which are designed to offer advice on gardening, outdoor living and the natural environment as well as providing entertaining opportunities for discovery and learning.
The latest in a series of free one-hour talks with the centre’s resident landscape gardener will take place on Tuesday May 4 and take as its theme Gardening Made Easy. Jean Linehan will provide valuable tips on how to get great results without backbreaking effort as well as suggestions for soft-grip tools and other items designed with comfort in mind.
Later the same week (Thursday May 6), the centre will host its monthly Meet the Animals sessions. These one-hour events - led by a representative from the centre’s pet and aquatic department - gives visitors of all ages the chance to learn more about the diverse range of animals, fish and reptiles who reside at Ruxley Manor.
Both sessions start at 3.00 pm. Booking is required for Gardening Made Easy but not for Meet the Animals.
Ruxley Manor Garden Centre is located in Maidstone Road, Sidcup. For further details about the centre visit www.ruxley-manor.co.uk
