RUXLEY RASCALS PROMISES SUMMER FUN AND GAMES

Ruxley Manor Garden Centre has unveiled its programme of summer activities for young customers.

The emphasis is firmly on arts and crafts with sessions that enable children to try their hand at a range of creative pursuits, many of which use gardening themes and which are designed to encourage youngsters to explore their outdoor world.

Participants will be able to use sponge shapes and paints to design a poster, create flowerpot photo frames and three-dimensional greetings cards, hanging models and put their own stamp on personalised button
badges.

The summer season will also feature two of the centre’s popular Meet the Ruxley Animals sessions in which youngsters and parents can encounter the many reptiles, insects and fish from the centre’s pet and aquatic department and ask questions of its knowledgeable staff – an ideal opportunity for anyone considering a new addition to the family.

James Evans, Ruxley Manor director, says: “With another programme of events - most of which have just a small admission charge or are free - we have once again tried to stage a series of summer activities that are great fun, creative, educational and kind on the pocket at this expensive time of year for families.”
